Our Love Story
A Love That Waited. A Love That Endured
It started as a joke in 2012, just harmless teasing from classmates. But beneath the laughter, something real began to grow. We became close, sharing stories, secrets, and quiet moments that made us feel seen.
But life, as it often does, shifted course.
She asked me to stop courting her, and our connection faded. I found myself in a short-lived relationship, and ironically, that’s when she realized her feelings for me. Timing, as always, had its own sense of humor.
After graduation, we drifted into different schools and dreams.
I was single again, lost in college life and video games. She was in a relationship, and we only crossed paths at reunions. Eventually, I heard her relationship was unraveling.
In my third year, I took a chance.
A simple “How are you?” opened the door again. We talked. We laughed. And she let me court her once more. I hoped this time would be different.
But healing takes time.
And sometimes, love must wait a little longer. She admitted she hadn’t fully moved on. It hurt, and I stepped away. Weeks passed. Then came a message, not to rekindle, just to talk. I told myself I’d keep my distance. But love has a way of pulling you back in.
This time, the timing was ours.
In September 2015, we became a couple. Finally.
Then came the test of distance. I moved to Manila for work, and the miles between us stretched thin. But we held on through calls, visits, and unwavering faith. We made it work.
Ten years later, and love still leads us home to one another.
Like any couple, we’ve had our share of ups and downs, arguments, and misunderstandings. But through it all, we never broke up, not once.
Now, we’re ready to begin the next chapter.
From teasing to trials, from missed chances to unwavering love, this is our story. A love that waited. A love that endured.
