Our Love Story
So, here goes our love story…
It all began five years ago—right before the world changed forever.
We found love just before the start of the pandemic, in a time when no one could’ve imagined how quickly life would unravel. And yet, in the calm before the storm, something extraordinary began.
It started with a small, quiet moment. I was on duty, pasting lab results in one of the wards, when I saw her—her back turned to me, a tattoo gently peeking out from behind her hair. Something about her stopped me in my tracks. Then she turned around—and in that instant, I was drawn to her. Her big, expressive eyes. Her soft, cute voice. That same tattoo that had first caught my attention. It all came together like pieces of a puzzle falling into place.
I knew I had to find a way to get to know her. And as luck would have it, she had to stamp her full name on a receiving sheet. That gave me just enough to look her up on Facebook. I sent a message—just one—and somehow that message turned into long conversations, slow smiles, and a connection that grew deeper with every passing day.
Then came our first date. The pandemic had already begun creeping in, and we found ourselves making up a little white lie at a checkpoint—pretending we were married—just so we could get to Café Lucia. It was a bold start, but it felt like something out of a storybook. Even with uncertainty looming, our love found its way.
And maybe it was fate, after all—because not long after, we were both chosen to be assigned to the COVID ward. In the middle of fear, chaos, and long hours, we found each other again—not just as colleagues, not just as two people falling in love, but as partners facing one of life’s most difficult moments together.
Starting a relationship while the world was shutting down wasn’t easy. But even as everything else felt uncertain, I was certain about her. I pursued her wholeheartedly—with patience, love, and the hope of something lasting. I also knew that winning her heart meant earning her family’s trust. Meeting her parents filled me with nerves, but their kindness and eventual acceptance meant everything.
As we faced the hardest days of the pandemic side by side, I saw more of who she truly was—her strength, her compassion, her quiet courage. That’s when I knew: I didn’t just love her—I wanted to build a life with her.
I realized she was the one when the idea of life without her became unimaginable. So, in May of last year, with a heart full of hope and hands that wouldn't stop shaking, I asked her to marry me. And she gave me the most unforgettable “Yes” of my life.
Now, here we are—on the day we say “I do.” We’re celebrating a love that began before the world changed, and only grew stronger through every challenge we faced. A love that gave us light when everything around us felt dark.
And today, we’re honored to share that love with YOU.
With all our hearts,
Sid & Arra
