Dear family and friends,

Please explore the site, RSVP, and learn a little more about our journey together. We can’t wait to celebrate with you and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Our  Story

It started with a swipe. Nothing too dramatic - just a split-second decision on a dating app. But that simple moment turned into something neither of them could have predicted.

A week later, on September 18, 2022, they met up in person for the first time. Over ramen and coffee, they realized that good conversations weren’t just online, hanging out felt surprisingly easy, like they’d known each other for a long time.

By their seventh date, as they strolled through the familiar paths of UP Diliman, a place that had shaped them years before they even knew each other, they were certain that what they had was more than just casual. Early on, they had honest, vulnerable conversations about who they were and what they'd been through. With each other, they found safety, a place to be fully seen, understood, and accepted.

After their tenth date on October 9, RV invited Jelyn home. The next day, October 10, 2022 (10.10), they officially became a couple.

Our  Story

The first year was all about learning and adjusting. They met each other’s families and friends, and shared stories from childhood lived on opposite sides of Mount Banahaw - RV in Laguna, and Jelyn in Quezon. They both came from big families with humble backgrounds. Both of them were top of their classes in grade school and high school. Both graduated from UP Diliman, joined mountaineering organizations, and took on several leadership roles. They share a love for travel, poetry, music, nature, and cats.

They have the kind of similarities that make things easy, and the kind of differences that keep things interesting. One loves badminton and had just started exploring pickleball, while the other prefers cycling and running; one loves to sing, the other is actually good at it; one enjoys reading, while the other prefers the summarized version told by the one who read it; one usually cooks, while the other keeps things organized; one loves tea, the other could not function without coffee; one had a serious sweet tooth, while the other prefers overly sour dishes. Even their temperatures clashed - one is always cold, the other is always too warm. And yet, somehow, it all worked.

They thrive in the simple joys of being together - trying new food spots, watching TV shows and movies, competing over online quizzes, rebus, and logic games, traveling, hiking, eating out with friends, and exchanging puns and banters everyday.

Our  Story

Their second year brought bigger mountains. RV stood by Jelyn’s side as she braved the grueling final stretch of law school and as she prepared for the Bar exams. Through late-night study sessions, pressure, and burnout, RV was there. When she finally passed, the triumph wasn’t hers alone, it was theirs. At the same time, Jelyn became RV’s steady anchor as he navigated career transitions and took on greater professional responsibilities as an engineer and project manager. That year also marked the start of living together on their own. Sharing a space meant making plenty of adjustments - so many routines to unlearn, and new ones to build. It wasn’t always easy, but it was always worth it.

Then came their second anniversary. October 10, 2024. They decided to celebrate by climbing Mt. Pulag, the highest peak in Luzon. The trail was cold and challenging. As they reached the summit, RV proposed. No big audience, no rehearsed speech, just a ring, breathtaking views, a question, and an answer that came easily. And just after that moment, multiple rainbows appeared - quiet, beautiful signs that they were exactly where they were meant to be.

Now, as they plan their wedding, they’re not just looking forward to one big day. They’re looking ahead to more summits to reach, more adventures to take on, and a life built from everyday moments - the quiet, real kind that matter most.
