Our Love Story

Because some love stories aren’t rushed — they’re written slowly, patiently, beautifully…

We started as classmates in college — two young people sitting in the same room, sharing the same space, not knowing that one day, we would share a life.

We became friends. We talked, laughed, shared everyday moments — and without even realizing it, we became each other’s safe place. And somewhere  in the middle of those simple, ordinary days, a quiet connection began to grow.

Then one day, Mikee asked if he could court me.

It was sincere. But I wasn’t ready. My parents were strict, my focus was on my studies, my heart wasn’t open to love just yet, and the timing simply wasn’t right. So, I turned him down.

He graduated.
And we quietly went our separate ways.

But love — real love — doesn’t rush. It waits.

Until life brought us back together in 2017.
Older. Wiser. And finally… ready.


It started with one message, and suddenly, we were talking again — about life, about memories, about everything. And things moved quickly, naturally, as if we had picked up exactly where we left off.

Then one day, he came to my office.
In his hands were chocolates and a letter — a quiet, meaningful gesture that said everything he couldn't put into words. That was the moment he started courting me again. And this time, I said yes.

In 2018, we officially became a couple.

It felt like the beginning of a long-awaited chapter. But like any real love story, ours wasn’t always easy — and it was never perfect.

We argued. We misunderstood each other. We hurt each other sometimes without meaning to. There were moments when silence felt heavy, and days when walking away seemed easier than holding on. There were times we found ourselves on opposite sides of a problem, with pride louder than love. Times when the only thing we could do was breathe through the pain and ask ourselves if love was still enough.
But somehow, even in those moments… We stayed.

Because real love isn’t about never fighting — it’s about choosing each other, even when it’s hard. And every time we could have walked away… we chose to hold on a little tighter.

And then came that unforgettable morning in 2024 — our anniversary. I woke up to the quiet of a new day, thinking it would be just another celebration of our love. But there he was beside me — holding a ring, his voice trembling with emotion. In that peaceful, intimate moment, he asked me to spend forever with him.
And through tears and joy, I said yes.

Now, nearly eight years later, we’re about to begin the most beautiful chapter of all — marriage.

Looking back, I’m grateful for everything — even the timing that once felt so wrong. Because it gave us room to grow into the people we needed to be for each other.

From classmates, to friends, to partners in life.
From “not now,” to “maybe someday,” to “forever.”

This is our love story.
Imperfect, patient, and beautifully real.
