Our Love Story

They were living in different worlds—Julius, far from home, chasing his dreams at sea, and Naprel, rooted in a life surrounded by family, work, and quiet routines. Neither of them knew that their separate paths were quietly guiding them toward each other.

It all began on June 24, 2019.

While Julius was aboard his ship, a mutual friend and fellow crew member introduced him to Naprel. At first, Julius was unsure. The situation felt unfamiliar, and Naprel didn’t exactly seem easy to approach. But curiosity soon got the better of him. He asked for her name, searched for her on Facebook, and began learning more about who she is.

Eventually, he found the courage to send her a message:

“Hi, I’m Julius, a friend of Jorge here on the ship. Pwede ba tayong maging magkaibigan?”

Naprel didn’t respond right away. And when she finally did, her reply was far from warm. She kept her distance—more than once. Cautious and guarded, she wasn’t ready to open up. But Julius stayed consistent. He didn’t give up.

And slowly, something began to shift.

His patience and sincerity started to soften Naprel’s walls. Their connection deepened. And when Julius finally returned home from his contract, he pursued her the traditional way—visiting her house, meeting her parents and siblings, and respectfully answering their many questions. It felt, to him, like standing trial in the court of love—and he passed with flying colors.

But Julius went even further.

He brought Naprel to Quezon Province to meet his family, introduced her to his parents, and visited her late father’s resting place to pay his respects—quietly proving the depth of his intentions. He even sought the blessing of her pastor, never missing an opportunity to show that his love was grounded in honor, respect, and faith.

Throughout it all, Julius prayed—asking God if Naprel was truly the one meant for him.

And in time, those prayers were answered.

After more than a year of steady, intentional, and heartfelt courtship, Naprel finally said “yes.” They officially became a couple—and that was the beginning of their journey together.

From that moment on, they embraced every joy and challenge hand in hand, growing not just in love, but in faith, understanding, and true partnership. Through the years they’ve spent together, life has become more meaningful—filled with laughter, shared dreams, quiet moments, and the kind of love that makes even ordinary days feel extraordinary.

They became each other’s safe place, biggest cheerleader, and constant reminder that love—when nurtured with patience and prayer—can truly transform everything.
