"When a Third Wheel Found a Fourth Wheel"

Best friends often have a knack for bringing people together. Julius and Efra met through their friends, Mawell (best man) and Riezel (maid of honor). One sunny afternoon, Riezel invited Efra to join them for a little gathering in Cavite. Mawell, not wanting to leave his friend Julius out, extended the invitation to him as well.

As they prepared the table and unpacked the food, Julius and Efra found themselves sitting next to each other. At first, they exchanged polite smiles and small talk, but soon discovered they shared a love for traveling. They both loved experiencing new cultures, tasting different cuisines, and exploring unfamiliar places. Their conversation flowed effortlessly, and they laughed over shared stories of their adventures in childhood. The next day, they found themselves in a deeper relationship. 

Over the next few weeks, Julius and Efra began to hang out more often, sometimes with Mawell and Riezel, and sometimes just the two of them. Their friendship grew stronger with each passing day, built on mutual interests and a genuine connection. From then on, Julius and Efra were not just friends brought together by their best friends; they were best friends themselves, bound by shared experiences and a deep understanding of each other. After a year, they decided to take the next step: moving in together.

Their decision to live together strengthened their bond even further. They continued to support each other through life's ups and downs, always ready to embark on new ventures. Their home became a sanctuary, a place where they could relax, recharge, and dream about the future. Living together brought new dynamics to their relationship. They quickly fell into a comfortable routine, cooking meals together, watching movies, playing PS4 together, and planning their next itineraries. 

Their bond was unbreakable, and Julius knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Efra. On March 16, 2024, after six fruitful years together, he was determined to propose to Efra on his birthday.

Julius took a deep breath, his heart pounding with excitement. "Efra, there's something I want to ask you."

He led Efra to the center of the basketball court at a rented resort in Laguna, where the trunk of a red car held a bouquet of flowers and a box. Julius took Efra's hands in his and looked into his eyes. “Efra, from the moment we met, you've brought so much joy and adventure into my life. We've shared incredible experiences and built a beautiful home together. I can't imagine my life without you.”

Julius reached for the box, opened it and kneeled, revealing a stunning ring. "Efra, will you marry me?"

Efra's eyes filled with tears of happiness. She nodded, unable to speak for a moment. "Yes, Julius, I will marry you."

Julius slipped the ring onto Efra's finger, and they embraced, surrounded by the love and support of their families and friends.

The proposal marked the beginning of a new chapter in Julius and Efra's lives. They celebrated their engagement with a joyful party, sharing their happiness with their closest friends. As they looked towards the future, they knew that their love and friendship would continue to grow, leading them to even more beautiful adventures together.
