Our Love Story

Our story began in the busy halls of nursing school, where fate quietly stirred the beginning of something extraordinary.

Jinda had a little crush on Jorvenn—not because she knew him well yet, but because of his impressive dance skills. She’d smile from afar, nudging her friends for an introduction. They’d only tease—until one day, a dear friend, took the leap for her. With that simple introduction, a quiet spark begun.

As destiny would have it, they soon became clinical groupmates. Hours turned into days, and days into comfort. For Jinda, he was a good friend—steady, kind, and always present. But for Jorvenn, friendship slowly gave way to something deeper. Though he tried to resist, love, as it often does, grew gently at first… then all at once.

With encouragement from their common friend, Jorvenn finally found the courage to ask Jinda on a movie date. They watched Iron Man—a modest beginning to what would become a cherished tradition: watching every Marvel film, hand in hand, through the years.

What began as friendship soon blossomed into love. They became a couple, graduated together, passed the Nursing Licensure Exam, and stepped into the world as nurses—not just as professionals, but as partners in purpose and in life.

In time, their greatest blessing arrived: their first daughter, Jianna. Her arrival changed everything. They didn’t have it all figured out—but they had love, and they had each other. So they held on. They chose to grow together, to show up on both the easy days and the hard ones, and to build a home grounded in grace, commitment, and quiet strength.

In 2014, they sealed their vows in the most intimate and sacred way—at 6 a.m., on the left side of the altar, surrounded only by their daughter, a priest, and six loved ones. No crowd. No spectacle. Just two hearts and a sacred promise, whispered before God.

Life wasn’t always easy. There were trials, doubts, and growing pains. But through every chapter, they discovered a deeper truth:

Love isn’t just a feeling—it’s a daily choice.

To stay. To forgive. To grow. To keep choosing each other again and again.

In 2020, their love story expanded once more with the birth of their second daughter, Jamelia. Their family felt even more complete. Their love, even more purposeful.

Together, they embraced milestone after milestone—culminating in the bold leap of faith to migrate to the United States. They left behind the familiar, chasing a better life for their daughters and continuing their shared calling: to care for others as nurses, side by side.

Then, in 2024, as they approached their 10th wedding anniversary, Jorvenn did something he never had the chance to do before—he proposed with a new ring. With the help of family and friends, he planned a surprise vow renewal proposal in Indio, California. It was a moment Jinda never asked for, but one she so deeply deserved.

And just like that, their story came full circle—not the typical fairytale beginning, but a love story written slowly, beautifully, and truthfully—through seasons of laughter, struggle, growth, and grace.

A story that continues still—page by page, hand in hand.
