Our Love Story

Ave and John: A Modern Love Story

Ave and John’s story began in the summer of 2013, under the warm sun of Romblon. Ave, who often visited her Lolo and Lola during school breaks, found herself at a family dinner at her uncle Khaled’s house. That evening, her Tita Mars asked if she’d be open to meeting someone new—someone described as pogi and mabait. Ave, with a smile, said yes.

Not long after, at a reunion of high school batchmates, Ave’s cousin Kevin introduced her to John. There was an instant connection. That day marked the beginning of daily texts and calls, their conversations growing longer and more meaningful with each passing night.

After a month of heartfelt courtship, John asked Ave to be his girlfriend. Ave, feeling the sincerity in John’s words and actions, said yes. Their relationship blossomed quickly, filled with laughter, shared dreams, and the excitement of young love.

When summer ended, life pulled them in different directions: Ave returned to Quezon City to continue her studies, while John went back to Laguna. Despite the distance, their bond only grew stronger. They navigated the challenges of a long-distance relationship with constant communication, trust, and unwavering support for each other—a testament to their commitment.

After Ave graduated from college, the couple finally closed the distance. They began dating openly, enjoying the simple joys of being together after years apart. Their love matured as they started their professional lives, building not just a relationship, but a partnership.

In 2019, Ave and John welcomed their first daughter, Antonette Gray, a symbol of their enduring love. The following year, their family grew with the arrival of their second daughter, Anastacia Lilac. Together, they faced the challenges of parenthood, supporting each other through sleepless nights and joyful milestones.

Ave and John’s journey is a testament to the power of patience, trust, and perseverance. From a chance introduction in Romblon to building a family in the city, their story shows that love can thrive—even across distances—when nurtured with care and commitment.
