Our Love Story
“Some love stories are written in the stars. Ours? It started with a message… and a long-kept crush.”
In 2017, two hearts that lived just a few streets apart found their way to each other, not on a sidewalk, not in a café, but through a simple message on Facebook. Jerome had admired Jelieca from afar during their college days, secretly holding onto a quiet crush while life had them walking separate paths, both in different relationships at the time.
But fate, in its own gentle way, waited patiently. When both found themselves single once more, Jerome sent a simple “Hi” message that would change everything.
Their connection grew quickly, like something that had always been meant to happen. And though life would soon lead Jerome to Australia in January 2019, love didn’t falter. On May 8, 2019, they became an official couple, despite the miles, the time zones, and the screen between them.
Their love blossomed across oceans. From heartfelt video calls to plane tickets and countdowns, they found strength in every “good morning” and “good night,” every airport hug, and every tearful goodbye. They chose love, again and again, no matter the distance.
Many say that long-distance relationships don’t work, but Jerome and Jelieca stand as living proof that they absolutely do. Their story is a testament to patience, trust, and unwavering commitment, showing the world that when two people truly love each other, no distance is too great.
On May 6, 2023, with the Boracay sunset painting the sky in gold, Jerome got down on one knee and asked the most important question of his life. Though he originally planned to propose on their anniversary, May 8, the timing of their flight meant the perfect moment came just two days early. And it couldn’t have been more perfect.
Now, after years of loving each other from afar, Jerome and Jelieca stand hand in hand, ready to begin the most beautiful chapter of their story, no longer separated by distance, but united forever.
