Growing Up Story

JACK was born on November 27, 1965, to Eli Noche Solidum and Celerina Perez Solidum.

He is the youngest of three children — Atty. Nonoy Solidum and Mrs. Maricel Orpilla being his older siblings.

Before playlists and smartphones, Jack had mixtapes and cassette players. He grew up in a time when music was loud, fashion was louder, and dreams felt endless. Saturday mornings meant bike rides with friends, while nights were for streetlights, radio hits, and arcade games.

He earned his A.B. in Economics from San Beda College, after spending his elementary and high school years at Claret School, an exclusive school for boys. It was right beside Holy Family School, where his future wife, Del Diccion, studied. However, they would meet many years later — and the rest, as they say, is history.

Jack’s world was painted in neon — from the posters on his wall to the sneakers on his feet. Every day was an adventure; every song, a memory. He learned to dance like no one was watching, laugh a little louder, and live fully in the moment.

He was blessed with an only child, Celine, now married to Ton Mendoza. Just this June, they welcomed their first Apo... their new source of joy — Mavi.

Now, as he celebrates another milestone, Jack invites everyone to rewind time — back to the days when life was simpler, music was magic, and growing up felt like one long summer.
