Our Love Story

We often smile when we think of how it all began. I was just 16, and she was only 15. We were young, carefree, and had no idea that life was about to change. At a party, a common friend introduced us. It seemed so ordinary at the time, but looking back, that moment was the beginning of everything.

From that simple introduction grew a friendship, and from that friendship, love. We were young, but we were sure of how we felt. And so, in 1981, we took a leap of faith and got married. We didn’t know what the years ahead would bring, but we knew we wanted to face them together.

Life tested us with ups and downs, but through every challenge, our love held us steady. God blessed us with five children, who became our greatest source of pride. In time, our family grew even larger—with sons- and daughters-in-law and eight (soon-to-be nine) wonderful grandchildren who now bring so much joy to our lives.

Now, 44 years later, we look back with gratitude. From two teenagers introduced at a party to the family we have today, our journey has been far from perfect, but it has been beautiful. And as we renew our vows, we remind ourselves—and our children—that true love is not just about finding each other, but about choosing each other every single day
