Our Love Story

In the same high school, under the same sunlit corridors, Benro and Jessica lived separate worlds. He was the boy whose laughter echoed through the halls, sometimes tagged as pasaway but always full of life. She was the quiet, diligent girl in the star section, eyes on her books and dreams, unaware that somewhere nearby, a piece of her future was already waiting.

They shared the same school, the same spaces, and even the same fleeting moments

— yet they were strangers, their paths running parallel but never touching.

Years passed, and life carried them forward. Different places, different priorities. They might have remained nothing more than two names in a yearbook — if not for one ordinary, extraordinary morning.

It was during Jessica’s third year in college. She was rushing through campus, heart racing, trying to catch a 7:30 AM class she never quite made it to. Frustrated and heading back toward the admin building, she looked up — and there he was. Benro. The boy from high school, standing there like an unexpected memory brought to life.



That moment etched itself into her heart. Suddenly, she found herself looking for him, hoping for another glimpse. And as if the universe was determined to weave their stories together, it wasn’t long before her best friend finally introduced them properly in 2015.

From there, something gentle yet unstoppable began. Conversations flowed easily. Smiles lingered longer. What started as a chance reconnection turned into a bond neither of them could deny.

On January 24, 2016, Benro and Jessica chose to name what was blooming between them. They became official — partners, confidants, each other’s safe place.

But like many love stories worth telling, theirs was not without storms. There were arguments that seemed to have no end, silent stretches of distance, and trials that tested the very foundation of their love. Only they knew how heavy some days felt. And yet, through every fight, every tear, and every sleepless night, they chose to stay.

Because deep in their hearts, they always knew: love wasn’t just the laughter and sweet moments. It was choosing each other even on the hardest days. It was believing that no matter how many times life tried to pull them apart, they were meant to find their way back.
