A  Day Meant For Us

December 28 holds a special place in our hearts — not only because it's the day we'll say “I do,” but also because it falls on The Feast of the Holy Family and The Feast of the Holy Innocents. It feels like such a gentle reminder of God’s love, grace, and protection over our marriage and the family we hope to build.

What’s even more beautiful is that this wasn’t our original date. Some of you might not know that we had to move our wedding twice before finally arriving at this one. At first, we simply chose it because the church was available right after Christmas. But as we prayed and placed everything in God’s hands, we asked that if this date was truly meant for us, He would make it possible — and He did.

Over time, we began to see how He had been weaving something deeper all along — a meaning we never could have planned ourselves.

And one of our favorite little details? The numbers 2 and 8 in December 28 mirror our anniversary as a couple, February 8 — a sweet reminder that God’s timing is always perfect. Delays are often just His way of redirecting us with love, and every step of our story was meant to lead us here.

In His time, our paths met, our hearts aligned, and love found its home.

“When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen.” — Isaiah 60:22
